My husband and I had high hopes when we hired this law firm to help us advocate for our son, who was wrongfully placed in the GNETS program. We were specifically working with Attorney Aric. Unfortunately, our experience was both frustrating and disheartening. Despite spending thousands of dollars, we were given the runaround with little to no progress made. There was a clear lack of urgency and strategy. Aric did not take the lead as we expected from legal counsel in such a critical matter. We often had to follow up ourselves, and it felt like we were pulling teeth to get updates or action. In the end, it was us not the law firm, who did the legwork. My husband and I were the ones who found a new school for our son. We pushed for the transition, handled the paperwork, and initiated most of the conversations that actually led to change. We came to this firm hoping for strong advocacy and expert guidance during one of the most stressful and emotional times of our lives. Instead, we left feeling disappointed, drained, and taken advantage of. If you're a parent seeking real help and support for your child, please be cautious. We wish we had chosen differently.

The fact there are already two one star reviews here tells the story. This so called "child advocate" strung us along for a month. Blew off the first scheduled meeting and rescheduled to the following week, only to blow off the promised follow up. Requested all our documentation. Meanhile, our child could not return to school. An entire month went by, during which time our family was turned upside-down. We had to reschedule two planned tribunals, and they informed us this morning - one day before the third planned tribunal - they were "too busy" to take the case. The only proactive thing they did the entire time was tell us they would be in touch about their retainer, which they also blew off. All of their posting about caring for your child is simply virtue signaling. Your child is a commodity, nothing more.

I retained Aric Kline's services to the tune of $3,500. I'm a starving student, so handing over my savings for the year was hard. To date I have yet to receive any help. He promises that he will contact the school's lawyer or collaborate with his wife, all that has happened...I did all the work on my own. I do religiously receive a bill for nothing more then promises and chit chat. I should have paid attention to his driving record and less to his fake accolades. I wish I could get my money back because I could really use it to keep my lights on.

What a difference an advocate and a truly functional IEP makes for a student. My child went from a B/C student on academic probation (a magnetic school for one C) to ALL As in a year. My child and us parents have worked hard, but having an advocate in our corner made all the difference! Dr. Turnage asked for accommodations that I never would have considered by myself and challenged the school when they said "we can't do that". I can't describe my child's pride as he's become a "good kid"!!

Aric Kline and Elizabeth Turnage helped my family immensely when securing the rights of our daughter who has special needs. They are so knowledgeable about the laws protecting children's and parents rights, that they ran circles around the school district who was denying her.. Both my wife and I recommend them with the highest regard. Thank you!
