Strong, Factual, and Warning Future Clients DO NOT HIRE THIS LAW FIRM AT ALL! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with Dutton & Dutton was one of the most dishonest and unprofessional encounters I've ever had with a law firm, and I feel obligated to warn the public. I was told by their receptionist Ashley that absolutely NOTHING would be done on my case until I signed and returned their contract, initialed every page, sent in my driver's license, and provided a copy of my citation. Based on that, I paid a $1,500 retainer, fully expecting no work would begin until the agreement was signed. I ultimately decided not to move forward with the appeal, so I called the firm to request a refund. Instead of offering honesty, the attorney, James Dutton, told me he had already filed an appeal on my behalf. So I did what any responsible client would do, I called and verified his claims. I contacted: * The Judge in Butts County Probate Court, * The Clerk of Butts County Superior Court, and * The District Attorney's Office. Every single one of them CONFIRMED that NOTHING had been filed. Not one document. Not one appeal. Not one action taken in my name. When I brought these confirmations back to Mr. Dutton, he changed his story multiple times, offering different excuses and attempting to pressure me into continuing even though he had no signed contract and no authority to act on my behalf in the first place. NO CONSENT! What I experienced: * False claims about filings * No contract signed * No work performed * Refusal to refund money * Inconsistent explanations and excuses * Court officials themselves advising me to report this behavior to the GA State Bar. No client should ever have to chase down a lawyer to confirm basic truth. No client should be told filings exist when they do not. No client should have money taken without a signed agreement. And no client should be met with dishonesty when they ask for transparency. I am going to report this incident to the appropriate authorities. If you value honesty, integrity, communication, and actual legal work performed, I urge you to think long and hard before considering this firm. My experience showed nothing but red flags, and I hope this review protects someone else from going through the same. AND I HAVE ALL RECORDINGS OF EACH CONVERSATION JUST IN CASE DUTTON AND DUTTON GETS ON HERE TO LIE SOME MORE!

I had a 45-minute informational call with Mr. Dutton about a tree law case, and he convinced me to try some DIY steps to resolve the issue first, and then call him again if those didn't work. So, he basically gave me the tools I needed in order not to hire him! I appreciated his time and information, and would recommend others reach out on tree issues if they have them.

I searched for a tree law expert in Georgia and came across with Mr. Dutton. I scheduled a call and in a brief conversation he shared so much information to look into. He was so helpful, so professional, wanted to better understand my situation so that he can tailor his recommendation accordingly. Mr. Dutton and his team was super helpful threw out the entire process of my legal battle. He was able to get everything I wanted from the start, which was not to have anything on my record or go against my license. I just listened to what he asked me to do and in the end it worked out in my favor. If you're looking for a legal team that will handle the stress for you and fight for you. This is the one!
