Prior military this is worth the read. Lessons learned may help you.I was Med-boarded after 15 years service. Once out i worked until I now longer could. Was losing jobs because I couldn't perform,missing work for drs app ts. medical bills piling up. Soon I was having to make decisions to skip a bill so I could go to the dr. VA not was not paying or slow pay eventually told to pay outstanding balances, or I will need to find another provider. Got to where I had to make the decision to file. Im now broke and broken. I like many google. A catchy name the quick talking sham artist got me.. This eventually would start the process that lasted 5 years, They used outside the US call centers. receiving mail from SSI stating certain documentation is needed and has not been submitted.. I call them cant make this up they barely speak or understand English. the answers you get are . I understand no problem, don't worry. Lawyer didn't know my last name prior to court. She was reading or trying to read bullet points probably on a napkin and you could tell. Now on the phone with a judge and I got cooked. Of course I was denied, they took all the military medical and submitted hardly anything else. Its because at intake i was a easy buck You need to know even Augusta attorneys this is a business and your product. Take your military records which are somewhat organized Goal little work as possible get you in and out win is a win loss you're discarded. Think of it like a car dealership once they get you to buy or credit is denied either or there done with you. I saw this by calling and meeting several out here. Its all good until previous experiences and denial are mentioned. You will be cut off and told they cant help you before you finish the sentence. I was frustrated this wasn't my fault i didn't do anything wrong. I was wrong I didn't know or understand how things work. Didn't ensure I wasn't being used. Should have got out of the situation with the other attorney. Better yet I should have found one who is competent. Its important Sitting down in front of your attorney and them listen to you watch how his/Her supporting team because they are just as important as your attorney it all goes together. Don't get taken advantage of and don't talk to him or her on the phone go sit in front of them at the beginning. I was able to get someone to just listen it eventually was Andy Mcgruder. I wasn't cut off he asked questions took notes. Talked about plan of action. Its immediately clear this is a Real lawyer and he's knows what he's talking about. The paralegals Lindsay and Mary Jean are on point have stuff done and can give you an answer before you finish asking the question. Most of the time Mr. Mcgruder will have spoken to you taken his time and make sure all your questions are answered and have you been completely informed. You really wont have any questions. He's really organized and not going to take you to court not ready. I ended up being denied two more times judge not even showing up to court once still doing the COVID stuff. Denial reasons really didn't make since. The outcome of the hearings were predetermined and I could tell by how I was questioned. He didn't give up on me which I thought I'm done this has been a circus side show I couldn't believe was real. it had been 5 years. Im mentally exhausted this is nuts. Eventually we were given another judge awarded the decision in court not 6-8 months later. That's what you need he's a good attorney and they care. Don't be like me and go through all this mess. By picking the wrong attorney because there is no good coming out of that I can promise you. Its important you do your part get your records in order a be organized that's your responsibility he will help with the rest. Id trust him with friends and family members and think he is a good decision if you need help.
