This contest was all about love and bringing families Home for the Holidays, and it has truly been a blessing for me and my family. I honestly don't know how we would have made it to Virginia for Christmas. This gift lifts a huge financial burden, gives us secure transportation, and helps us move forward with finding housing. After the fire with no rental insurance, our car breaking down two weeks later, and having to live in a hotel -- there were so many moments when we didn't know how we would make it. My spouse will now be able to get knee injections, and that alone is such a big relief. This blessing came right on time. Thank you again. You have helped us stay afloat. On August 16, 2024, I experienced the most terrifying one yet. I was side-swiped by a tractor trailer and dragged several feet. The driver never stopped, never looked back to see if I was alive or dead. In Atlanta traffic, there's no pause -- just chaos. Amid that chaos, someone appeared. A stranger came to my window, banging on it urgently. I believe he was a guardian angel. He pulled me from the wreck and got me to safety. By the time EMS and the police arrived, he was gone. Just when I wanted to give up on life, Taylor with Amy Whitherite came in like a knight in shining armor! Unfortunately, in June 2024 I was struck by a semi truck and that caused me to spin uncontrollably in the middle of the busy Atlanta highway. As if life wasn't a tough obstacle before, this wreck left me injured and in a dark space. Because I've heard so many positive stories regarding the Witherite group I contacted them and boy, what a smooth cruise it has been. Taylor and her team were welcoming, knowledgeable, sympathetic, thorough, consistent, patient, informative, conscientious, perseverant, but most of all a safe space. Taylor created a space where I could be my most vulnerable and she encouraged me to release all I've been holding in since the truck wreck. In the 18 months they worked my case I never had to call/text/email for an update. That speaks VOLUMES when you think about customer service. I received above what I expected all thanks to Taylor and her team. Now that I've closed that chapter, I'm walking into the next with my head held high and feeling more free than ever. Please help me To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this with every bit of strength I have left. My family is on the verge of losing everything, and I am begging for your help before we fall into a crisis we may never recover from. I am facing eviction while battling severe and disabling medical conditions that have taken over my life and stripped me of my ability to function normally. My spine is bone-on-bone with no cushioning left, and the pain is so unbearable that I am in and out of the hospital receiving injections that barely make a difference. None of my pain medications work anymore. Every day is a fight just to stand, to breathe, and to make it through the next hour. On top of this, I live with asthma and sleep apnea that requires a CPAP machine just to get through the night. My blood circulation is so poor that I've had two procedures this year just to keep my legs from failing. I suffer from chronic migraines, high blood pressure, and pre-diabetes. My body is deteriorating faster than I can get help for, and my disability case is still pending with no decision in sight. The hardest part the part that breaks me every single day is that I am the mother of seven special needs children, each struggling with severe asthma and autism. They depend on me fully. They don't understand what is happening, and they are terrified of losing their home. Their routines, their safety, and their medical needs make it nearly impossible for them to function without stability. We are running out of options. I have sought help from every resource and agency I can, but we are still on the edge of being evicted with nowhere to go. My children did nothing to deserve this. They should not have to suffer because of circumstances beyond our control or because my health has collapsed to this point. Please I am pleading with you as a parent, as a human being, as someone who is exhausted, scared, and desperate -- we need immediate help to keep a roof over our heads. If we lose our home, I truly do not know how I will keep my children safe, healthy, or emotionally stable. The consequences for them will be devastating. I am asking for compassion, for understanding, and for emergency assistance before this situation turns into a tragedy we cannot come back from. Thank you for taking the time to hear our story.
