Hi, First, Attorney Clair and I were raised together due to our family members' history. Therefore, when I had legal issues, I decided to show my loyalty by hiring her to represent me. I should've paid attention to the old saying, "never mix business with personal". Even after a failed attempt to date, I still decided to give her my business and recommended over nine people to her firm. The first two cases were pretty easy, and I received a small payout. The bigger case seemed like she did not have the proper time to focus due to the elections, since she was running for a seat. In the case against my former HOA, I had to force her to file the lawsuit a day before they filed. She wasn't moving with a sense of urgency to represent her clients. Over a period of time, I never received an update or anything from her office. In mid-2025, I was contacted about a balance and was informed that it had to be paid. I called the number multiple times and never received an answer as I was attempting to make the payment over the phone. I never received a call back. Ever! A month later, I was informed that she wasn't representing me anymore due to the payment. We discussed the balance and the case while speaking to her on her personal phone. She informed me to pay the balance, which I did, and she would represent me again. This was in July 2025. On September 23rd, I was informed by an employee that my case was closed, and learned that nothing was filed in the courts to show she would be representing me. If you're thinking about hiring this firm, please don't! Please pick an attorney that's about getting good results for their clients. She's only worried about the payment

I was looking for an attorney to represent me in a Tenant/Landlord case for the balance of my security deposit.
