1 Star Dropped in the Middle of a Medical Transition with life altering injuries. I was represented by Will Cummings for a workers' compensation case following a career-ending shoulder injury as a paramedic. I trusted that my case was being handled with care -- until I realized my attorney wasn't up to date on the true severity of my condition. Especially after a year and an half with two surgeries. Even after I sent updated MRIs, therapy notes, and reports, he admitted he didn't realize how bad my shoulder had regressed. When I respectfully addressed this concern and asked him to review the case more thoroughly, he withdrew from representing me days later. His withdrawal letter gave no legal reasoning -- only that it was "in everyone's best interest." At the time he dropped my case, I was in the middle of transitioning between doctors and had no active physician, no physical therapy, and no workers' comp representative. In other words, I was left with absolutely nothing -- no medical care and no legal support -- right when I needed stability the most. As a 15-year paramedic who dedicated my life to helping others, it was disappointing to experience such a lack of accountability and compassion. If you're dealing with a serious injury, I would strongly caution you to find an attorney who won't walk away when things get complicated. Professionalism means standing with your client through the hard parts -- not backing out when asked to pay closer attention. -- Trey
