In May of 2024 I had a fall on the property of an outlet center because of the way wires were placed on the ground by a kiosk owner. The Dr. I was seeing suggested a lawyer to handle my case, but after talking with her and seeing my pictures, she informed me that the State of Florida was now making it much harder with recent laws on slip and fall cases and said based on that, I did not have a case. I didn't know who to turn to, and I am not the type of person to give up, so I used Google, and the first firm that came up I called, and to my great fortune, it was Distasio Law. From the very first phone call, I felt that I had been directed to the right place. I worked with Kathy by both phone and email and at no time, did I ever feel that she wasn't there to help. In a short period of time, the lawyers looked at my info and took my case. I was ALWAYS kept informed and never felt like I was just waiting around. It took about 9 months from the time I spoke with them and we started the case, to the time they received a settlement amount. Again, I stress that Kathy kept me in the loop at all steps and never made me feel that this wasn't going to happen. THEY made it happen!
