I am writing this review to formerly commend my lawyer, Jose C. Gonzalez, P.A., and staff, for the exemplary legal service they provided me during my divorce. From the start, Mr. Gonzalez took the time to listen to me and understand my needs. I was impressed with Mr. Gonzalez through knowledge of the law and his ability to explain the laws and rules in a way that I was able to understand it. Mr. Gonzalez, and staff, were always available and answered all my questions with great clarity which gave me peace of mind and eased my anxiety during the process. Mr. Gonzalez kept me informed every step of the way. Mr. Gonzalez primary motive was to protect my interests, and he did so with great skill and professionalism. Mr. Gonzales skills as a negotiator were readily apparent during the mediation process as he negotiated a very advantageous settlement for me through mediation, thereby avoiding the additional cost of having to go to court. I was referred by a friend to this firm. The entire experience was very disappointing. I feel like Jose just simply did not care about my case and I was just a number in his books. Communication wasn't prompt, and he was hard to get a hold of. After hiring a different attorney, I then saw how much wasted time & unnecessary motions were filed. My case could be been resolved much more quickly, and was once I hired someone else. Here is a screenshot of a previous review I made regarding my retainer. Jose yelled at me on the phone for posting it and was extremely unprofessional. I apologized at the time simply because I already paid him and ended up needing the legal services I paid for. His paralegal, Michelle, was always pleasant and prompt. She was the best part of that experience.
