George Melendez's office reached out to me to schedule a meeting with him as he was supposed to be acting in a Guardian ad Litem capacity for my husband's daughter. The meeting was to include Melendez, myself, and my step daughter. I never spoke with Melendez during his time as GAL. His assistant was polite and nice. However, that was where the positive experience ended. The morning of the meeting, Melendez spoke with the child's mother, and the two of them decided unilaterally to cancel the meeting. He didn't let our attorney, my husband, or me know. I wasted two hours of my afternoon driving to his office and home again. I only found out he cancelled the meeting when I arrived at his office and his assistant told me. This was highly disappointing as he was well aware of the importance and significance of the meeting and how meaningful it would have been for the child for us to be able to see each other. After witnessing his actions as the GAL, I would never recommend him or his office to anyone for any services. The unprofessionalism, poor communication, and lack of follow-through was disappointing to see and did the child and family involved a great disservice. I have witnessed other GALs do so much more on behalf of children.

I have known George Melendez for years, and when I have a Collaborative Divorce case, because of his creativity and out of the box thinking, he is one of my go to people to send the other spouse to. I have also used him as a mediator a bunch of times, and his recent help in resolving a challenging case made me want to post this review. We were on the brink of impasse (ending the mediation), and George got me and my client to refocus on the client's interests rather than the positions we were beginning to get stuck on. Ultimately, George's mediation skills helped us resolve the entire matter, and my client is thrilled that this challenging part of her life is now behind her. I highly recommend George Melendez as a mediator or a Collaborative Divorce lawyer.

I hired Mr. George Melendez as a Guardian at Litum in the best interest of my daughter, under the understanding that he would do good work, as he came recommended by my Attorney as one of the best in the business. After Spending a Significant amount of money, very little work was done, and when any it was one sided. I do not recommend this firm to anyone seeking justice, and a good work that actually shows the fruits of the labor.

George has helped myself and my family significantly with his extensive knowledge of family law. He is honest and fair. His team is professional and helpful. He makes you feel heard and that your rights are protected. His office feels warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend him and his team to anyone looking for help with family matters and the law.
