HORRIBLE especially the paralegal Minoe. I hired this Law Firm over 19 months ago to handle a relocation for my family. Everything was going real good at first but then it slowly turned into me calling every week or every other week for an update as to why we haven't filed our petition yet. Each time I would call in I would get told I would get a phone call back I would wait a week or two and then have to call back in again and get told the same thing. The laws had changed in July of 23 as in regards this filing. As of July 1, 2023, Florida law no longer requires a substan- NEW LAW BRINGS tial change in circumstances SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES TO DIVORCE IN FLORIDA to be unanticipated when modifying a parenting plan, time-sharing schedule, or parental responsibili- ty. This means that a parent only needs to show that a substantial and material change has oc- curred. This attorney had us waiting for substantial changes in circumstances for 19 months after we had repeatedly asked to file in July of 2024 meanwhile I'm flying my son and 3 year old child back and forth to Florida every other week to meet the Florida requirements for our 50/50 with the deadbeat father of my stepdaughter while he emotionally abused her. After talking with numerous other attorneys I was made aware of the laws being changed and the fact that we are waiting for things we don't need or already have. I told the paralegal that I was done waiting and that I wanted this petition filed or I was going to hire a new attorney that would do it. I waited another month and they still had not gotten anything done and at that point in time I decided to fire them and hire a new attorney who Within 2 weeks has gotten more work done and already has us filed. The paralegal then said that all of the money I've already spent is already gone and I in fact owe them money. The only thing that they ever filed in that whole entire time was a reaction to a child support hearing. We have everything documented numerous phone calls in little to no phone calls back. HORRIBLE communication and I WILL BE FIGHTING THIS. They took over $7,500 and are now saying that everything is accounted for and I actually still owe them money even though we never even got our relocation petition filed. UPDATE 5/15/25...We have asked NUMEROUS times and emailed asking for an itemized receipt for our money but they never follow through, we have filed a complaint with the Florida bar

DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM !!! 2 years and thousands of dollars later and they did nothing. no communication , constantly having to start over with new paralegals and constantly asking for them to file a simple motion and it never got done. Fired them and got a new attorney who filed our motion within a week. Thanks for robbing my family during the most difficult time in our lives.

Took my $3000 retainer for a enforcement of a divorce agreement. Never even filed a petition for contempt of court. I didn't know he hadn't filed it in 3 months until I consulted another attorney. I transferred to another law practice. They filed within a week. Ferguson didn't refund me and I had two meetings. One with Ferguson and he didn't follow through. One with Woodard, she was late and did not disclose they never actually filed when all the necessary documents were provided. Breaks my heart to this day but I was too exhausted to fight for the retainer while enforcing the agreement too.

Excellent law firm. David Ferguson is an amazing attorney and I highly recommend him. Professional and responsive, he truly cares about obtaining justice for his clients. The support staff is wonderful to deal with too.
