1. We used Derrick through our employer legal insurance. The contracted rate is $201 per hour. Derrick has charged us $225. 2. We were just charged $360 for activities occurring in 08/2024 and 09/2025. These charges were NOT reflected on his portal. I didn't receive notice of the charges until last week!! Why not? It's been almost a year, so I can't argue one way or another whether the charges are valid. 3. In Oct 2024 we had questions for Derrick. His staff had no clue as to where he was or when he would be able to return a phone call. It took well over a week for them to come back to me and tell me that he was out of the country. Not professional. 4. The final letter sent was sent on my behalf that was extremely aggressive. While a letter sent was authorized, the tone was not. Without a doubt, he was looking to bring a fight on. 5. It took 7 weeks to close out my account and receive the balance of the money in my account. It took almost 2 weeks for Derrick's office to acknowledge my request. Then it was one delay after another. The excuse I was given was that he was in court. Do you really think that I care how busy you are? In November, my concerns were no longer an issues, so we decided it was better just to hold Derrick on retainer, so we didnt have to start all over again with a new attorney. Derrick, you owe me an additional $184.80. Please refund my money today!!

The whole team has been wonderful. I felt heard, acknowledged, and supported through an emotional and hard legal process. I will forever recommend Derrick and his team for any legal advice.
