We hired the James Altman law office to assist us in the sale of a home of a deceased family member. In the course of their work, they repeatedly said that they could help us get the best possible sale price for the home. They were insistent to the point of making us uncomfortable. They gave us a price that some party that they knew would pay. We didn't ask for it and it was unsolicited. They said that we would never get that high a price through a realtor. We did however, list through a local realtor. The house sold within 4 days of being listed at a price that was 27% higher than what the law office of James Altman had offered. As bad as that was, they very seldom responded to calls or emails for several days or weeks at a time. They seldom did what they said they would do in a timely manner. It was always one lame excuse after another. My advice is to keep looking if you need good honest representation from a reputable law firm.

Horrible customer service.. after presenting my probate case and having a consultation.. I waited two weeks for them to decide to discharge my case with NO explanation.. very disappointed

Mr Altman provided a consult for us will be simple trust. We ultimately decided on the trust and his new attorney completed the paperwork with us. The office staff is very professional and polite. Made the process easy. Highly recommend and very fair rates

Hasn't responded since they billed the final invoice.. no updates to the realtors on either side of the deal or to the family of the deceased. Not to mention she was extremely rude over the phone and the clerk of court just updated me that she didnt resubmit the file for us after she forgot the death certificate on first submittal.

Awful!! Wouldn't send my worst enemy here. (Selection of a star was required, not earned) They handled a probate case for our family and took their sweet time finishing the case. They would state a deadline and never meet it. They let the case drag on for years. The only time anything got done was when someone called to complain. That would last for about a month and then nothing for months thereafter. The county had to make several requests asking where the paperwork was, which tells you if the county is asking questions, there is a serious problem. It was clear once they got their money, they could have cared less what happened to the case. Closure is essential when dealing with a loss. Their lack of concern throughout the whole process was reprehensible. If you are looking for someone who actually cares about your case, and will treat it with a sense of urgency, this is not the place you want to do business with.
