We had a wonderful experience working with McCabe Harrison at Harrison Estate Law, P.A. on our will and trust. From start to finish, they were incredibly organized, thorough, and genuinely kind. At the beginning, we felt overwhelmed with all of the documents--the trust (and why we needed one), the will, living will, and powers of attorney--but everything was explained so clearly and carefully that now we feel truly safe and at peace. Their pricing was very fair and competitive, which we truly appreciated. They even provided the witnesses and notary for our signing, and everyone was friendly, professional, and helpful, which made the entire process seamless. On a lighter note, our tuxedo cat made a surprise appearance on Zoom, and McCabe nicknamed him a "cow cat" because of his coloring--it still makes us smile. We were referred by a neighbor, and now we completely understand why--they exceeded our expectations in every way. My wife and I had a great experience with McCabe and his team at Harrison Estate Law in handling estate planning ahead of our marriage. They've been easy to communicate with, McCabe has given sound, concise, and accessible legal advice throughout, and has been strong with follow-up on estate related matters even after our initial consultations and document preparations. It has been hugely reassuring to find a good partner in ensuring our family's legal and financial security for the years to come.

McCabe Harrison was recommended to us by several highly regarded attorneys in Gainesville Florida. Once we met him, we had a good sense of why they recommended him. After going through extensive estate considerations, with trustees and beneficiaries living in several states, we came to realize just how good he is. Among other things, he instructed us about the clawback taxes for beneficiaries in the state of California, and how those taxes could affect beneficiaries we had to live in other states. He was willing to write verbiage in our revocable trusts to address the complex issues that California raised. He suggested that we could eliminate 95% of the problems by never having an executor who lived in the state of California, so we changed our named executors. Because some of our beneficiaries were prior employees who we had not seen in many years, he pointed out that leaving percentages of our estate to any beneficiary, allowed them to challenge the provisions of our wills. The simple answer he offered was to specifies specific amounts for each beneficiary. Then we just had to make provision for what happens to any residual amounts, Weather higher or lower than our estimated dollar amounts. Again, this avoided a huge potential problem in making sure that the provisions of our wills and trust were nearly impossible to protest by beneficiaries who felt they should have gotten more. He also pointed out that the wording of every operating agreement of any LLC we owned would take precedence over the provisions of our wills. He kindly directed us to another good attorney who could work in concert with Mr. Harrison to make sure that our operating agreements of any LLC we owned did not interfere with the provisions of our wills. While all of that was very complex and required a significant amount of additional work for him, he never charged us anything beyond the initial check. I gave him at our first meeting. Win his final paperwork came to us, it was close to 100 pages long. Rather than reviewing those by myself, my wife and I made an appointment to meet with him so he could explain in detail everything contained in that paperwork.

I called and McCabe Harrison himself gave us a free consultation summarizing the estate planning process.
