At first he was great, a go getter, a fighter. When I hired him I was very clear before I made payment that it was a one time lump sum payment for a custody case. We agreed on a number and it was paid in cash. Right before trial comes he calls me to the office and try's to strong arm $2,000 more out of me. I ask about our original agreement and he was very nasty when I questioned him. I needed it done so I after I left I called Mr. Dempsey and told him I will pay another $2,000 if he really required it. He then said " you know what I'll actually need $5,000" hi contacted family after we pulled together and came up with $5000. I called Donald Dempsey and told him, he THEN SAYS " I'll actually need $10,000-$11,000 to stay on your case". Mind you , there was no marriage, no house, no divorce, no property, no money to be split. It was a cut and dry custody case. I honestly feel like he took advantage of me in a time of desperation.
