This firm only responds if you chase them relentlessly, and even then they waste time, shift blame, and double charge for basic work. Extremely unprofessional experience with Attorney Jamelia Little. She wasted my time with delays, constantly shifted blame back to me, and ignored documents I had already provided as well as my questions. Conversations were unnecessarily long--whenever I raised that they had delayed my case, the call was dragged out just to shift blame. A discussion that could be resolved in 5 minutes was turned into 30 minutes of circular arguments, all to avoid accountability. While some issues were eventually "fixed," that only happened because I was constantly chasing the firm, monitoring every step, and asking the same questions over and over before finally getting a response. Even the one critical piece of evidence where I actually needed legal analysis was handled poorly--no opinion for weeks, then two changes of position in the final week before the deadline, forcing me to redo work and wasting time and money. They also made mistakes right before the filing deadline, creating unnecessary stress. Fees are nearly double what other attorneys charge, yet the service quality felt worse than basic. The assistant did reply quickly, but only on simple matters; harder questions were ignored, and when real issues came up, the assistant used the same blame-shifting language as the attorney. Attorney Jamelia Little showed all of these problems--delays, inefficiency, last-minute errors, repeated blame-shifting, and an overall "quiet quitting" style of lawyering. Her colleague, Attorney Lisa Knox (family law), showed the same issues and, in addition, manipulative behavior, false or misleading advice that cost me valuable time, and triple charging. Because of this, the most important and technical legal issues in both of my cases have already been shifted to a newly hired divorce attorney, who is handling them far more professionally. With all being said, I still expect Attorney Jamelia Little to fulfill the duties contracted for and to deliver competent work on the immigration side. I do not expect her to go above and beyond, but I do expect professional, accurate, and timely execution. If that standard is not met, I will have no choice but to seriously consider filing a formal complaint. I would never recommend this firm to anyone who values clear communication, accountability, and timely handling of sensitive immigration matters.
