It's been the 3rd time my girl (12 years old now) went to Elevate Therapy after sport injury (sprained ankle during gymnastics). All staff there (James and Ryan were her therapists ) have always been above and beyond to help her recover, get stronger, comfortable and clear before restarting fully her gymnastics practices .
I have recommended Elevate to many friends and never had any bad feedback.
As a mom, it's very important to know your child is in good hands with trustable persons.

I mainly worked with Mike, who did a wonderful job listening to my issues and took me from everyday pain to days without pain in about 6 weeks. How incredible is that? The whole team is very welcoming, competent and professional. Truly an empowering experience that I cannot recommend enough!

Great therapy. Great atmosphere. Even though it's hard work it makes me happy to do it there. That's what I'm looking for in a physical therapist's practice.

You know you have a bad injury when you are withholding symptoms & degree-of-pain details from your therapist --out of fear of uncovering that dreaded diagnosis of doom. After 50 years of physically putting my body through the ringer, this most recent injury had me VERY concerned. Going on 2 weeks of pain in my back that was migrating, swelling & shifting secondary areas of soreness into my hips, groin, spine, & abdomen. Overall mobility & degree of pain were actually getting worse into week 2. Seeing as I can count on one hand the doctors, therapists etc. in my lifetime that have actually made it a priority (out of genuine empathy) to correct the injury w/ extreme urgency, I was dreading the idea of going through the motions to seek help.
It was my wife's idea to get into physical therapy (versus trying to hunt down a doctor to then chase around for the next 3 months.) She suggested Elevate & specifically praised a therapist there named Michael Giambrone. Of course I scoffed at first. And the more I thought about this injury, (which I knew in my gut was more of an insidious breaking-down-of-my-back caused by some kind of self-inflicted neglect) I acknowledged from firsthand experience that physical therapy can effectively correct this kind of regression. Anyway, I'll cut to the chase....
The injury was so complex that I couldn't even point to the source of the pain when I first went in for therapy. My biggest fear was that I had damaged vertebrae. Within that first session, Mike had diagnosed the injury & highlighted the muscle that had been damaged (the quadratic lumbar muscles) & then set me on a regimen of exercises that were difficult, but were at least NOT causing me that familiar acute pain. When I left I actually felt better. Then I got in the car and that same discomfort (from any commute longer than 10 mins) took over yet again. The next day I was sore as heck. I did the exercises Mike instructed me to do until my next appointment. The soreness was brutal but the actual pain did not worsen. In my next appointment, it was a set of new exercises focusing on a complete shift in my lower back & core tendencies. It was definitely an 'against the grain' sort of recalibration to my core movements. When I left therapy that day, I felt....really good...like my body was telling me to stay with this shift in core tension. When I drove home, it was like the pain & soreness were gone. There was minor soreness for a couple of days in the early a.m., but the more I did the exercises, the better I felt (I mean...IMMEDIATE relief).
This was all less than a week ago & right now I feel great. There are slight hints of the stiffness in the a.m., but getting better every day. I am amazed at how Mike turned around something that seemed so ominous. This guy is truly amazing. And I have to say, it is such a pleasure going to a place where the staff members are smiling, pleasant, likeable & more than wiling to try & help. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I am actually looking forward to going back there for another appointment just to make sure I am staying on track. I am sincerely thankful for Mike & the staff over at Elevate. Phenomenal organization.
