Unethical Post-Case Billing and Lack of Communication I have never left a bad review for any company before, but I feel compelled to share my experience here. I hired Jackson Pasco at Antommaria Ilevska Elder LLC for my divorce, and everything was handled professionally until after the case was finalized. My divorce was officially completed on October 4, 2025, yet opposing counsel filed her withdrawal from the case two days later, while my attorney did not remove himself for several weeks. During that time, my ex-husband began calling and emailing Jackson directly. Without my knowledge or consent, Jackson had a phone conversation and multiple email exchanges with my ex -- who was not his client -- and then billed me for that time. I was not informed until days later, after the fact. It is completely inappropriate and, in my opinion, unethical to bill a client for communication initiated by the opposing party after the case is closed, especially without the client's consent. When I raised the issue, I was told the charges were "necessary to finalize the file," despite the fact that the divorce decree was already entered and the case was finalized by the court. If you work with this firm, be extremely careful about post-case billing and confirm in writing when your attorney has officially withdrawn from representation.

Even when divorce makes sense, it is an emotional and difficult process. I interviewed no fewer than 6 different divorce attorneys. Amy Antommaria and her law firm stood out head and shoulders above all other firms. With over 25 years of experience, she knew the court venue, the judges, the mediators and was able to always keep control of the process. She saved me from myself several different times when I would have given in or given up without her calming presence In addition the was a massive difference between Amy's firm and the others. Many divorce attys are solo or share legal assistants and paralegals with other attys. They tend to over bill simply because how they handle cases which is very inefficient. Plus a lot of solo divorce attorneys do their own clerical work and charge top dollar to do things that should be done at a much lower hourly rate by legal assistants. Amy's support staff all focus on her cases. From top to bottom the secretary, paralegals, legal assistants, finance etc were experts at their jobs so there is no wasted time which causes over billing. Ultimately I received a great outcome at a cost that was unbelievably reasonable. I highly recommend Amy and the law firm of Antommaria, Ilevska Elder LLC. .
