Their system is crap. When I called to try to make a payment, they could not provide a receipt and no idea when the system can be fixed to provide me with a receipt. As I wait for their system to be fixed, they also want to charge me an interests on the balance. Ridiculous.

Maybe I have a debt. Maybe this agency has bought the debt and is collecting it. But weirdly, this agency made a hard credit check on my records. That seems a highly suspect action!

The most reprehensible and evil of all companies. They did not inform me of my legal rights within the State of California in regards to debt collection and statute of limitations, and they did not attempt to collect until many years after my hospital visit (conveniently accruing tons of interest). No written notice, only constant aggressive phone calls laden with threats of ruin to my credit score. They did not uphold their promise to remove the negative mark from my credit report, it took filing a complaint with Experian in order to remove it (even though I got in writing a promise to remove the mark). Don't make my mistake, NEVER give in to the treats of Rash Curtis or any other debt collection agency.

It feels strange to give a collections agency a 4 star rating, but my experience has been good. I had medical bills go into collections in about 2014. I had a pretty bad experience with RCA at first because of the representatives I had call me. They were rude and made me never want to pay off my collections. After a few years, I decided to give them a call to settle my debts so I can finally begin improving my credit! When I called, the agent I got was super helpful and really tried working with me. It just takes some patience and a little bit of stern attitude and they will work with you!! Most likely, you're the one who got yourself into this situation, so buck up and pay your consequences. If you pay as agreed, they will most likely take off the accounts from your credit report. They came through and kept their promises and now my credit score went up more than 70 points. I'd like to thank them for working with me and being understanding.

Bad experience. Rash Curtis failed to call me to notify me of my debt. I had a bill from a hospital that I was unaware of; they had the wrong address so I never received anything. They turned the account over to Rash Curtis. I had no idea this was on my credit report. I just happened to check my credit report and saw an account in collections. They failed to send ANYTHING in the mail. And failed to leave me a voicemail notifying me of what was due. I got this sorted out with my original creditor. Rash Curtis lies and says that you have to "pay by 3pm today" or else it will remain on your credit report. Bad company.
