Praise the Force for these people and their service! This agency has been indispensable in navigating the wild West environment that is Mendocino county with it's frontier policies, business practices, morals, values, standards and laws.

I appreciate this office & what they stand for; as a low income family of one I just don't know what I would do or would have done in the past had it not been for Legal Services of Northern CA. They have always returned my telephone calls (over the last 25+ years) and helped me if they were able to. Thank you!

They didn't seem like they really wanted to help us with problems we were have with a property management place that collects rent from people's in mobile homes park. Didn't want to meet to explain problem at beginning which made things more confusing when you can't explain the situation. Seemed very offish and wasn't wanting to really do anything to help us. And in the end they didn't . 20 years ago here in Ukiah legal aid was extremely helpful. This time the wasn't helpful at all and they could have been. They just chose not to. Pathetic is all I can say.

Hello ,I was just sitting here thinking. I would like to share my experience with you so you know if you are out there that you are not the only one that is having the terrifying experience I have been having since April 9th of 2021 . fact. I spent all of this time searching for a home but I never got passed the safety and sheltered faze long story short. I got not where for two years of relentless effort. Ukiah! I salute you! First time since 2024 I have not felt alone

. I asked for assistance and was delighted they took my case,(The building I was living in was Red Tagged by the city and all the Renters we're given notice to move out as the building was unsafe). The Atty appointed to me did all she could for me and told me I'm on my own now. I still live in a building the city has deemed unsafe, the cockroaches still drop from the ceiling. By law the owners are required to pay the expenses to relocate me into an apt like the one I rent from them. They refuse, Legal Services of Northern California has done what they could they say, they moved on to their next client; Get their name, date of birth, and their social, do an interview and that's all it takes to prove you have provided a service to an individual. It's enough to keep the monies flowing from grants earmarked for those persons needing assistance.
