I retained Mr. Braun for a personal injury case in July 2024. I had interviewed several other P.I.A.s and they all seemed sketchy. However, I thought he was the lesser of the evils. An old woman driving a GMC Sierra rear-ended my granddaughter and I, so our injuries were legit. However, Mike decided to refer us to a "Chiropractor" that treats back injuries with heating pads and an "Orthopedic" doctor that has a reputation for being a scammer (he literally asked us questions, but never examined us). Most of my physical therapy came through my primary Healthcare provider. I negotiated the property damages without his help. He was retained during the tail-end of those exchanges with the insurance company. Mr. Braun never sat with us in an attempt to understand how we suffered from the trauma of that accident; physically, mentally, psychologically or emotionally. All he cared about was his percentage. When the case was finally settled and we had to set-up a Trust Fund for my granddaughter, he was insistent that his office handle it. **I stood firm in saying "no". However, I was curious as to why he almost demanded his office handle that check. Turns-out they have a long standing relationship with the bank, and my suspicion is that something nefarious would've occurred. It's definitely not beneath him.** I went to open the account myself. But there were pertinent documents that were WITHHELD from me by Mike. I had to call him and demand they be sent. These missing documents held-up our ability to open the Trust account. One of the documents hadn't even been FILED with the court (so how was his office going to open the Trust account?) I did some research on him and his associates after I questioned him about their fees. I will suggest that ANYONE considering retaining him RESEARCH him and anyone he refers you to (if you have a legitimate claim).
