If you're on the fence about whether or not you should hire him, I'll tell you a little about my situation and you can judge for yourself: At first, in my case, I had been assigned to the Public Defender's office. I was sitting in the seats before my case was called and before the Public Defender came to talk to me out in the hallway, I saw him joking, smiling, and laughing with the DA right before he came to speak with me out in the hallway. I did not like the Public Defender's energy and the way he talked to me or approached my case. That already rubbed me the wrong way and I got the feeling that the Public Defender had no intention of advocating for me in any meaningful way. After calling my girlfriend, we decided to look for a paid attorney to handle my case. In my case, the DA and Probation were wanting to give me an excessive jail sentence for a minor first violation of probation. Evan was very responsive and was able to help me get out of jail and get back to my life sooner, whereas I would have been in jail an extra 30 days away from my family and it would've taken me that much longer to get back on my feet. Evan was very professional and went above and beyond to help me and was able to speak to the judge and tell my side of the story to even the playing field. Evan was able to represent me in court and help elevate my position against the odds, which prior to hiring Evan, were not in my favor at all. My girlfriend and I are very glad we decided to hire Evan, because if left in the hands of the Public Defender, they would not have went through all the effort that Evan had done on my behalf.
