She made me feel so comfortable, seen, heard, and important. The firm really advocates for their clients. I would absolutely recommend Janna and the entire firm to anyone and everyone going through a malpractice case.

I was represented by Michelle Hemesath of Ikuta Hemesath for my medical malpractice case and I couldn't recommend Michelle or Ikuta Hemesath enough. I was extremely ill when I first reached out to Michelle, going completely dark for months at a time. But she was patient, kind and extremely understanding of my circumstances. Michelle made it abundantly clear that her number one priority was my health. Opposing counsel made things difficult at every turn and she navigated each obstacle with professionalism and grace; while making it abundantly clear that she wasn't playing games. My case settled and she continues to check on me and my son. If heaven forbid anyone I know and love were to find themselves in need of a malpractice or injury lawyer, there is no other firm I would recommend.

We were referred to Ben by another lawyer who spoke very highly of him and said he was interested in our case. After hearing such a strong recommendation and seeing some of Ben's interviews, where he talks about always fighting for his clients and doing what's best for them, we had a good impression of him. I told my family about him, and we decided to move forward. He was the first lawyer who seemed to take us seriously, and that meant a lot to us. We officially started working with Ben around September, and at first everything seemed promising. We did everything he asked for. We gathered documents, provided sensitive records, followed up when needed, and stayed fully cooperative. We often mentioned the difficulty of getting medical records, but we still managed to get them and provide everything he requested. He made us feel like progress was being made, but as time went on, things didn't move the way we expected. He kept saying he'd file "next week," or "next month," but it just never happened. There were constant delays. What concerned us most was finding out that the letter to the hospital's lawyers wasn't sent until the final month before the deadline, something we thought should have happened much earlier to protect the case. It felt like everything was pushed to the last minute. The day before the deadline, Ben told us that there was no longer a case he was interesting in moving forward with. What really shocked us was that, during our Zoom call with him, from what we gathered during that Zoom call, it felt like the reason he didn't want to move forward with the case was because it would be too damaging for his reputation. He didn't say it outright in those exact words, but that's what we strongly took from the way he explained things, like he was trying to say it without fully saying it. That's what stuck with us. It made us feel like our case (which he told us had strong potential for months) was suddenly dropped because it no longer served him, not because it wasn't valid. He also mentioned needing to speak to professionals before deciding what he should do which confused us, considering he claims to have many years of experience and markets himself as someone who fights hard for his clients. It didn't match the image he presents publicly. After months of trust, effort, and hope, it was incredibly disappointing to be told at the very end that there was no case and that his own reputation was a factor. We feel like our time was wasted. We remained loyal to Ben the entire time, but we don't feel that loyalty was returned. We were left with more questions than answers, and in the end, we didn't feel like we were given the level of care or commitment that was promised. Now a month later, his team (despite multiple follow ups) has yet to return all of our case related materials. Things that we had a very hard time getting a hold of. His assistant said quote "he tends to loose things".

I lost my husband unexpectedly in May 2023 as a result of medical malpractice. My situation was a bit unusual because the lawyer I contacted initially ended up dropping my case without any correspondence or explanation! As we were approaching the 1-year statute of limitation, I had to find a new medical malpractice lawyer quickly. I was referred to Ikuta Hemesath, LLC by a former colleague of Ben's and I could not be more pleased with the firm, their lawyers and staff! Not only were all the proceedings handled with great care and accuracy, the mediation resulted in better-than-expected outcomes! My two adult daughters and I were treated with unlimited respect, compassion and understanding which meant so much to us - especially during our time of grief. If they determine your case has merit, they will stand by your side and work their hardest for you! I can't thank Janna, Ben and all their staff for everything they did for us! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
