Ok so I never really write reviews, and definitely not long ones, but I've told this story to like 20 people in real life so I might as well put it here. Couple years ago I got hurt on a construction job. I'm not going to put all the details here, but it was bad enough that I couldn't work, couldn't sleep right, and needed help to do stuff that used to be no big deal. You go from "I'm fine, I got it" to "how do I even get through the week." I talked to a few lawyers before Veen. One told me basically, "This is going to be very hard, I don't think it's worth it." Another just kind of shrugged and said the case was too complicated, lots of moving parts, blah blah. I walked out of those calls feeling like the accident was my fault for being inconvenient. Someone I know from the neighborhood said, "Call The Veen Firm, they do the tough ones," so I did. First call was already different. They actually let me talk. I could tell they were taking notes, asking follow up questions, not just waiting for me to stop so they could give some generic answer. They asked how it changed my day, not just what the medical report said. Like, can you pick up groceries, can you climb stairs, can you focus, how is your family handling it. Stuff that felt very real. Once they took the case, they didn't disappear. They explained what was going on in normal words, not legal textbook speak. When I got stressed and sent long emails with 10 questions in them, they actually answered them. Sometimes not in five minutes, but they answered. When the insurance company tried to float a low number, they told me straight up, "That is not good enough for what you went through," and they pushed. I didn't feel pressured to just settle and shut up. The case went on longer than I wanted, honestly. There were times I was tired of it and just wanted it over. But every time I started to wobble on that, they walked me through what was happening and why it mattered to keep going. In the end, the result was way better than what those first lawyers hinted I could ever get. My mom is obsessed with them now. She still asks, "Have you talked to your Veen people?" and tells everyone they "saved her baby," which is pretty funny considering I'm not five. She actually told me to make sure I wrote a review, so Mom, if you ever see this, I did it. I'm not saying they can fix everything, because they can't fix the fact that the accident happened. But they made it possible for me to actually put my life back together in a real way. If you got hurt and other lawyers are brushing you off or making you feel like your case is "too much work," call The Veen Firm. They didn't treat me like a problem to get rid of, they treated me like a person they were willing to fight for.....thank you!!!!

My daughter, niece, and I were victims and severely injured in a hit-and-run car crash coming home from the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert. We hired William Bandettini at The Veen Firm to help us navigate one of the scariest and complex times of our life. William was patient with our questions, and extremely knowledgeable regarding handling this type of insurance claim. William worked diligently and ensured we received the best possible outcome. It was not an easy task, as the person that hit us is at large with multiple felony charges, the owner of his vehicle had little to no insurance, and our medical bills were extensive. William was diligent and negotiated and secured an excellent outcome for all of us. We are eternally grateful for his dedication and hard work to settling our case. We would definitely hire him again.

After being turned away by more than ten other firms, we were incredibly fortunate to find Josephine and her team. They immediately understood the unfairness of our landlord and tenant case and took it on with compassion and a true sense of justice. Within just 10 months, they helped us reach a settlement far beyond what we could have imagined. What really set them apart is that they represent their clients in court, something not every firm offers, and they never charged us a dime until the settlement was finalized. Josephine, Jenan (their amazing paralegal), and their team are not only smart and strategic but also kind, supportive, and genuinely willing to fight for their clients. What could have been an overwhelming and unpleasant process felt manageable because of their guidance and care. We still feel blessed to have had their help and cannot recommend them highly enough.

In 2019 our firm took on representation of a client who had sustained multiple traumatic injuries in an accident at his workplace in which he was crushed between a truck and a cargo container. It soon became clear that in spite of our firm's experience this case was simply too complex for us to handle efficiently, so I contacted Elinor Leary of the Veen firm and asked for help. I knew that the Veen firm had the experience and reputation to handle even the most complicated cases, and they absolutely did not disappoint. For five years they worked the case, successfully bringing in defendants and insurance sources few other firms could possibly find. They showed how a top tier law firm works, and their results were nothing less than astounding. The result was far, far better than we had expected, and our client is now financially secure and able to move forward with his life. In addition to their great legal work, the Veen firm was always available and helpful, and we all felt that we were in the best of legal hands. If you are an injured person or a law firm that needs some help with a personal injury or defective product case, I strongly recommend that you contact the Veen firm and discuss your situation with them. I believe they are the best accident and injury firm in California, and I can guarantee you will not regret talking with them about your case.

I had a slip and fall case in a store and suffered a cracked patella. (Kneecap). I was rushed into surgery and had screws and wires installed to be able to walk again. I hired a primary attorney who had NO federal court experience, so Elinor Leary was hired as a secondary lawyer. Since I moved out of state we had a video conference. Ms. Leary very firmly stated if I went to court, I would get nothing. She appeared congenial at some points followed by bouts of hostility and belligerence. At no time was I informed about the weight of oral agreements versus written agreements or anything else regarding legal information. I turned over the disbursement of the Award funds to the Veen Firm because my primary attorney seemed untrustworthy and didn't appear to be even rational at times. He tried to talk me into getting a second operation even though at the time the Doctor didn't want to risk making it worse. Eventually I went back to the Doctor and he said I would now require a knee transplant. Ms. Elinor Leary arranged a video chat with the Doctor allegedly and he confirmed the diagnosis. They then came to me and told me deadlines had passed and the video chat was meaningless. The video chat was $1000. They did not perform the simple task of checking the alleged deadlines beforehand. My primary attorney informed me he was keeping the $1000 anyway in a defiant, mean spirited way. This is why I turned the responsibility of disbursing the award money to the Veen Firm. Our relationship had become strained due to the fact I did not believe they were doing business in good faith. A few other attorneys I talked to and saw the paperwork seemed to concur. I am concerned this behavior is made even sadder because most of us are older, weakened and/or injured. And what about the families of these people, many of which include young children. The "system", as others have noted, has some serious glitches allowing these types of people to operate in this manner. There were other issues as well. Very unhappy with the results, integrity and competency of this firm and Ms. Leary.
