Fun Fact: if you live in Riverside County and don't have over $10K liquid cash there is no possible course of action to get a roof leak fixed. It's a form of socioeconomic discrimination. You can open a dozen cases with ICLS and Fair Housing Council of Riverside County each time your roof leaks over a 4 year period and they still won't help you with a letter of demand. As a result many people have to live in uninhabitable conditions indefinitely. I called Riverside Injury Attorneys with questions about civil rights violations, defamation of character, and if these organizations are liable for providing bad legal advice or covering up a felony over a multi year period. As soon as the intake guy heard I was crying a bit he hung up. My call lasted about 40 seconds, no free consultation, and they didn't call back. Basically the same experience I've had from the hundreds of attorneys and 5 different state bar referral services that I've told I have a long term roof leak. Lawyers suck: If you're poor you get discriminated against and it's just the nature of the business. Follow Slumlords Get Protected as I document my attempt to hold a corrupt non profit legal system that is designed to keep poor people out of litigation and Riverside County liable for a long term civil rights issue.
