Beware of John Carelli he does not call you back and does not return emails. He was appointed to me and went to court on my behalf without ever talking to me about the case and now I'm having to pay a ton of money because of him.

Do not use this attorney if he is court appointed to you... say u want a different one. My son has been in jail for almost two years, not once.Did he visit my son in jail and never returned a single phone call. The judge and jury never got to hear what happened before the events that took place with my son were, he never interviewed me.He never interviewed any of the other victims or witnesses.My son was given 52 years in prison. My son told him due to the fact that he could never reach his attorney that he wanted Corelli to stay in contact with me and keep me updated. I called him 55 times never got a call back. He told me in court that I could try to reach him through his investigator amy kreitzer, I called her thirty two times never got a call back. When I had confronted him at one of the court hearings, he told me if I needed to talk to him, I could come down to the courthouse and find him. What the hell is that? It's ridiculous That's what it is, he's already been found guilty by the bar for failing to communicate with his clients, and he's continuing to do the same thing.

Hi I highly recommend John e Carelli criminal defense law very professional,very super intelligent has good empathy and sympathy also very well experienced and understanding and knows how to manage the court and returns phone calls. I delivered my file to John Carelli and met with him once. Following that, for 5 months I called his office and received no response. I went to his office several times only to find the door locked, him not there. He had no secretary, just a one man office. I left at least 15 messages on his line, stating I wanted to pick up my file and he did not respond until I threatened to turn him in to the BAR. When I picked up my file, his daughter (approximately 10 years old) was sitting in the clients chair, apparently he was using her to protect himself from the words I would have said had she otherwise not been there. He held my file which prevented me from progressing in my case.

I hadn't travelled through Northern California in a while and on our approach into Shasta county we got pulled over and ticketed for speeding. After a google search, I hired John and 30 days later the ticket was expunged. He worked quickly and kept me in the loop through the entire process.
