I cannot say enough positive things about Sean Onderick, who is an attorney I will always call first when my interest or rights have been threatened by another party. Finding a solid, competent lawyer can be a challenge at times especially when you are facing complex legal issues that may even bleed over into other areas of the law. For example, I remember when I had an ongoing custody dispute that unexpectedly crossed over into a negligence claim against a commercial property owner and even involved criminal law issues. Thankfully Sean knew how to represent my family's interest across all facets and we obtained a favorable outcome. When I first worked with Sean, I wasn't sure how strong his reputation or experience was. Having since worked with Sean, I know why he has such a strong winning track record. I have seen him bring to bear all of his talents, skills and knowledge of the law in the court room during trial or while working sensibly and reasonably with the opposing counsel. I had a very disappointing experience with this attorney due to consistently poor service. His memory was unreliable, and he was highly disorganized. On multiple occasions, his laptop was not working, his internet was down, or he claimed his computer was hacked. If you have an important trial, be prepared for potential technical issues that may disrupt your case. In my experience, he repeatedly forgot to send me critical documents. Even leading up to a very important trial, I had to email him several times asking about a case that had been filed with the court, yet he never responded. It wasn't until the next court session--when the opposing party referenced it--that I became certain something had been filed. When I confronted him about it, he casually admitted that he had forgotten to forward it to me. While it may have been a simple oversight for him, it was a serious issue for me. Additionally, expect to handle a lot of the case preparation yourself. I had to organize binders and other materials on my own, rather than focusing on trial preparation. If you're looking for thorough and proactive legal representation, I would strongly advise considering other options.
