The bad review posted by Samantha McAndrews is unwarranted. I have known Aaron Smith for approximately 15 years, and have had the opportunity to see his work, both in and out of the courtroom. Mr. Smith is both capable and ethical, performing his duties for the best interest of his clients. If Mr. Smith was hired by the trustees, and Ms. McAndrews is not his client, then Mr. Smith cannot ethically direct his efforts toward satisfying Ms. McAndrews' personal interests. Ms. Andrew's frustration should not, in any way, impact your decision on who to hire to handle your estate planning matters. I highly recommend Mr. Smith for your estate planning needs.

My grandma past away in August 2013 and Mr. Aaron Smith was hired to handle her trust in November 2013 from it being past on from another lawyer who created my grandma's trust before she died. I don't know how and why my aunt, the executor, hired Mr. Smith, but she did. I would give him zero stars! It is going on 7 years AND my grandma had a trust and her trust is not finalized still! I feel Mr. Smith has always been incompetent in handling my grandma's estate, but especially after he filed an incorrect motion in court! He is also incompetent and incapable of handling a trust by the obvious number of years it has taken to complete! Mr. Smith would also say the process was taking a long time because he would blame the Los Angeles Court System as being the problem! But then when following up again with him, it turns out Mr. Smith filed the wrong paperwork in the LA court and then needed to wait for another court date! But that issue happened at about the 2-3 year mark after my grandma died! I am writing this review now after 6 years and 4 months because I called Mr. Smith yesterday to follow up on the finalization of my grandma's trust. Mr. Smith tells me that he no longer represents us because he can't get the final accounting from my aunt. I know my aunt is at fault, but why isn't Mr. Smith offering to the other beneficiaries ways to expedite this trust. After asking Mr. Smith if there is something we can file in court to hurry and force my aunt to finalize the estate, Mr. Smith tells me he doesn't know and he can not give me legal advice and I need to consult with another lawyer! I asked Mr. Smith if he already got paid for handling our estate and he says he doesn't have to tell me and answer that question. So I am assuming he did get paid and now is not responsible for finishing and finalizing our grandma's estate. I recommend to not hire Mr. Smith for your trust and estate issues and especially if it is out of the Orcutt/ Santa Maria boundaries!

Mr. Smith and Carre were recommended to me by friends I trust. I am so happy I followed my friends recommendation. Mr. Smith and Carre are professional, organized, and friendly. They answered all of my concerns and questions. My Trust and Will were handled with care and respect. I would give them more stars if I could. I have already recommended Mr. Smith and Carre to others, who were also very happy with their services.
