They were aggressive with the insurance company in order to get things moving quickly. The team's communication is something that stands out the most. Do yourself a favor, and run from this law firm.
They gave me a retainer, and when I inquired about receiving communication as to when correspondence gets sent, Kingsley got bothered, and then said to me "what is your hesitation, we have 5 star reviews". Kingsley is not knowledgeable regarding tenant matters, ADA matters, and definitely Unlawful detainers. All tenant attorney should be well versed regarding UD. Kingsley wasn't even knowledgeable regarding discrimination. He will talk to you like he is promising you a winning case, when in fact, by talking on the phone with him, he isn't that knowledgeable regarding tenant matters at all. After we signed a retainer, he decided to not fully go through his obligations and the telling me it's a "mutual agreement to not go forward with the case". I don't recall saying I wasn't on board. He doesn't appear knowledgeable, and after texting Oscar, never heard back from him. Kingsley is not that smart, he didn't even look over the documents I sent him, nor the evidence I sent him. They are incompetent.
These attorneys won't last long in the field. Truly, run from this firm as quick as possible. You will get a lot less money than what your case is valued at, especially with their lack of knowledge. These attorneys do not know tenant laws, discrimination laws, and how to handle real cases. Don't waste your time and money on them. Even their retainer is not promising of them winning the case for you.
I've met tenant attorneys that are fierce and will show opposing council who's boss, these attorneys will failed you in all aspects. Be extremely careful when they send you the retainer so quickly without looking at the evidence. I've worked in the law field before, and once you sign a retainer, it becomes an obligation for them to represent you. It appears that Kingsleys client get evicted because he doesn't represent them accordingly. Like I said, he acts like your case is personal, when it isn't, it's just another cash bag for his firm.
Kingsley is beyond dishonest and not a attorney that holds integrity. They have little to no knowledge of tenant matters, Kingsley said that he had to look into the laws of the city in live in. A real attorney for tenant matters, would know off the cuff. Lots of red flags!! Also, if you have a disability and are under ADA, they WILL discriminate against you. Like I said, they don't know the laws and these attorneys are one year new, imagine the more damage they will do and can do on your case. Any attorney that states that they have "5 star reviews" is scamming you. Go to Ackerman, LLC. Whit Ackerman is a fierce attorney.
