My wife hired Mr. Collins to represent her in a matter involving her ex-husband. Unfortunately, it was a very poor experience. Communication was almost nonexistent. Calls and emails routinely went unanswered. I attempted to step in to help facilitate communication and received no response as well. At one point, I even contacted the office posing as a new potential client and still did not receive a return call or email. Additionally, Mr. Collins requested a photo of my wife, stating it was "to keep track of her records," which we found highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Due to the lack of communication and overall discomfort, my wife ultimately changed attorneys and retained the lawyer I had previously used in my own case. The difference was immediate--clear communication and no issues. Since then, we have learned that similar communication problems and inappropriate requests have been experienced by others as well. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise against working with Mr. Collins.
