The absolute worst! Run, don't walk to any other personal injury firm than these people. It took them 2 years to settle a car accident claim where I was rear-ended, car totaled and the settlement amount was miniscule. The case was not handled by an actual attorney and instead was handled by someone who apparently was a legal secretary! This is after the original case manager disappeared off the case without explanation. Calls go unanswered, emails go unanswered, and they make all sorts of excuses - they're understaffed, multiple medical leaves, they have modified hours on Fridays, etc. Then, when it came time to send me the settlement check, it has taken over 4 weeks (and counting at the writing of this review) for me to get a check in hand. After all the bad press from the Tom Gerardi revelations and the state bar crackdowns, you would think that they would take more seriously the need to release client settlement funds as soon as possible. If I could give this firm less than zero I would!

If an unresponsive, unethical, and self serving law firm is what you're looking for, you've found the correct place. Just a complete disaster from start to finish, communication is a major problem as the entire staff refuses to return calls, it seems like everyone is having surgeries that are excuses for missed filings or lapse of follow through, and they'll find way to charge you unethical rates. They "borrowed" $1000 to pay costs and charged me an additional $500 of interest for their loan. They could have just asked me to pay instead of taking a loan. They do not have your best interest at heart and I would stay far far away.

My experience with Steinberg & Spencer was excellent! First time I called, I was assisted with professionalism and my questions and concerns were answered. Someone went to my home as I had no vehicle to drive due to the accident. They helped me with almost immediate medical treatments, arranged for it to be done closed to my place of work (different city). They kept me apprised with everything pertaining to my case. I definitely recommend thsi firm.
