Roy L. Comer Attorney at Law

Initially I met Attorney Roy Comer around 2012 at the Orange County Bar Association Trial Advocacy Training Program, where he taught us how to conduct various aspects of trials. Since then, I have had the honor of developing friendship with him and enjoyed his legal advice every now and then. Roy has been a resourceful counsel to many other attorneys and often provides pro bono services to various groups in the community. I recommend Roy for the legal services that he renders. I don't usually write reviews, but every once in a while someone impresses me with their ability to be both a good professional AND a good human. I had a judgment served to me days before Thanksgiving and found Roy Comer through a friend. Even though Roy was out of the office for the holiday, he was concerned about the timeliness of my situation and got back to me right away. He took the time to look over my paperwork and talk to me about my options. He was patient, compassionate, clear and honest. He was willing to take me on as a client but recommended that I work with an attorney he knew who had more experience in debt collection. Roy would not accept my many offers to pay him for his time. It was such a relief to find an honest and kind attorney who got me set up to resolve my case. I am in good hands with the attorney Roy recommended and am grateful to Roy for his help!

I am very thankful for Roy's friendly suggestions, honesty, and quick response. I have been encountering several road blocks while pursuing a case and I was at a loss for what to do next. I reached out to Roy for help regarding a real estate breach of contract case. My experience with Roy was very refreshing because it is not often you meet an attorney who will be honest with you and point you in the right direction rather then push you to retain them, promising results when they have not even looked at the details of my case. I have spoken to over 10 attorneys regarding my situation and never felt comfortable moving forward with any of those attorneys because I could not shake the overwhelming feeling that I was just being told what I supposedly wanted to hear so I would drop 5-10 grand on a retainer. What I truly appreciate from Roy is he took the time to listen to my case details rather then just talk over me which felt like a common theme speaking to other attorneys. After I explained the details Roy got real with me and told me he would not be the most qualified to handle my case because the nature of it was not his expertise. With my trial date coming up he told me that he could not adequately jump in at the time without facing a steep learning curve. He then proceeded to spend about 15 minutes of his time to educate me on the civil litigation process, what my general options are, what is the best way I should respond to the suit, and then provided many resources that could help me. He also recommended attorneys to me that he felt were honest and skilled. People he personally highly regards and felt were in much stronger positions to help me. Roy, I just want to personally thank you for the time and patience you showed in helping me and the good word you put in to your associates for me. Writing a good review is the least I can do.
