I recently had ACL reconstruction surgery. I called the office to get further help in regards to helping me out with the disability process. I left a voicemail before they opened and wanted to get the process started as soon as possible. I called back 2 hours later and spoke to lady named Jen around 9:40 ( to my understanding and just assuming, she is just a receptionist), and I wanted to get Kristy's info (Kristy is who can help with questions in regards to disability) or speak to her directly to help me out. She looked into my profile by receiving my birth date. Then she starts to question me as to why I am making this request by bringing up that my surgery was a couple months ago. I told her I already spoke with my surgeon (Sean Wahlquist) the day prior and I explained my situation to him and he gave me a verbal okay to call in and speak with Kristy. She told me that the phone call doesn't mean anything and I would need to talk with him in person in those regards and have it be officially documented. I asked if there's anyway to send a email and get confirmation and have it documented that way. Before I could finish the rest of that sentence, I am abruptly cut off and told no that's wont work. The overall tone, the questioning of the legitimacy of my request was simply off putting. She tells me that my request is going to bring up a lot of questions. It almost felt she was expressing her opinion on my situation even though she has no control on the outcome. She is not my surgeon. Her job description wouldn't involve disability since there is a specific person to handle that (If my assumption is correct that Jen is just a receptionist) so I don't understand why she is gatekeeping me from trying to get the information I requested and verbally insinuating that my request will be turned down. Sean Wahlquest is a professional and has helped me tremendously throughout my journey with my ACL replacement. Everyone else I have met and have talked to has been great. This is why I am giving 3 stars and not 1 because of the majority of the staff is awesome and I don't want one apple to spoil a bunch. I rarely write reviews and I felt this crossed many lines with how my request was handled. Towards the end of my phone call, I requested if I could have Kristy's email because I was given her email prior by her or Sean and I lost that information. She asked "and what for?" Or something to those lines. At this point, I am frustrated with how this phone call is going and told her bluntly that so I can email her. She said "her emails aren't meant for communication". Isn't that the whole point of email? I then asked "so you can't just give me her email?" And she again said no and she sharply said she will return my call. I have no doubts that Kristy would've given me a call back. However, I left a voicemail this same morning and gave it a couple hours for someone to get back to me but Jen being The morning receptionist obviously did not check voicemails nor returned any missed calls. In short, it is inappropriate for receptionists to question any Patient request since it is not their domain to question. Their job is simply to assist the patient in their request. Not to provide to their "two cents" and throw doubt in the wind. If someone request to speak to a professional about their personal situation, if someone requests information that their surgeon has given permission to receive, then you do so, and nothing more.

Dr. Wahlquist was wonderful. He answered all the questions I had prepared going in before I could even ask them, was very personable, and was overall very genuine. He got me scheduled quickly and ran through all the steps and made sure I understood everything. The surgery went really well and I was pain free the day after, which was surprising given that I had my bicep tendon re-attached. I highly recommend Dr. Wahlquist and will be requesting him on any future orthopedic needs.

It's been about two year since coming here. Today I had to call to request some records and quickly reminded why I steered clear. I spoke with Sheri and ask if I could get a copy of my medical records sent to my current dr. She said yes and asked whom it was, the second I let her know the drs name with Kaiser she snarked and said "yeah I'm not going to do that, I can mail them to you". Her reasoning is that Kaiser would never get them, I've had other facilities send Kaiser my record and haven't had an issue. as someone who was a paying patient here and is just trying to get my records I could care less what your feelings towards another provider is and it could have definitely been handled and stated better. The customer service from the front staff here has always been sub par and quite frankly I'm glad I was able to request my records and get them emailed to my personal email. A little professionalism goes a long way.

Not sure where to start. The entire process was a nightmare. First visit the doctor did nothing for me after waiting for an hour in the lobby. Sent me for an EMG and provided no way to help manage pain in the mean time. Had to go in for a second appointment with another doctor just to have them read the EMG someone else did for me for him to give me zero options but surgery and was told at 24 years old I would never be able to use my hands again if not. (Which was completely in accurate) Staff was incompetent when it came to getting a letter for work or school. Billing is rude and does not do their due diligence to collect payment. Sends out one letter and and calls once threatening to send the remaining total of my 60$ bill to collections. Then proceeds to send out a collection letter requiring a 10 day response. With the current postal situation the letter took 8 out of the 10 days to get to me. Had they called or sent a reminder letter it would have been taken care of. Extremely disappointed. Would recommend dr Panero at sutter. He gave me MULTIPLE OPTIONS for treatment and wasn't just there to take my money like this location who did nothing for me.

Dr Wahlquist was fantastic. He spent time discussing my MRI and all options for rehabbing my shoulder. I decided on surgery and everything went to plan. His staff is fast and courteous and made the entire process easy.
