I must first highlight my own experience with Rose Klein & Marias. The lawyer assigned to my case settled it successfully and provided me with effective representation. His name was Alan. It is important to note that the quality of service at Rose Klein & Marias greatly depends on the specific lawyer assigned to the case.
I had a satisfactory experience as a patient at Rose Klein & Marias back in 2012. However, I recently referred my partner to this location for legal services and was highly dissappointed. The lawyer my friend consulted with (not Alan) provided incredibly bad advice during a crucial time. Despite being instructed to take no action, he failed to follow up or provide any further assistance. Multiple attempts to contact him went unanswered, putting my friend's case at risk. Her intake paperwork started to collect dust while time was ticking on the possibility of appealing her denial.
As someone who used to refer people to this firm without hesitation, I was disappointed. It is clear that the reliability of the lawyers at Rose Klein & Marias varies. While I had a mostly positive experience with my own lawyer, it is disheartening to see such inconsistency within the firm due to this individual.

This review has been a long-time coming. Mostly because Atty. Alan Riffel and his Paralegal Ruben Torres were able to get me through some of the most horrendous years of my life, and so now I've been busy moving on and living my life for the first time in a long while, and it's been amazing!! But I just had to finally stop and take some time to write this review because they deserve the recognition. Being an Injured Worker in the Workers' Compensation system isn't for the faint of heart, UNLESS you have a good lawyer & team on your side who are going to fight to get you any and every right you are entitled to WITHIN THE LAW. I stress this because many people think Workers Comp lawyers are to blame when they don't get what they feel is the best medical care & monetary compensation for their work-related injuries--- it's obviously common sense, right?.... healthcare for free, paid by their employer because they got hurt on the job. However, your attorney still has to follow the law, which isn't always fair or in their client's favor. And that's where Alan Riffel, Ruben Torres and their team are different than other Workers Comp law firms. They know the laws and procedures inside and out, which are presently, unfortunately, more in favor of the defendant insurance companies, but because Alan & Ruben are very experienced in this area of law, they know the other side's deadlines and pressure points, if there's a legal work-around, a way to negotiate, or out maneuver the defendant insurance company's attorney? -- believe me, they do it --- and they do it effectively.
My case took exceptionally long, involving several body parts, and a less-than-cooperative defendant insurance company, but in the end Alan Riffel fought for me and made sure I received every right I was afforded under the law. I was not always the most pleasant client, pain and emotion can get the best of you sometimes, but Alan and Ruben were always professional and gave me assurances when I needed them. Ruben Torres is quite frankly the best Paralegal I have ever come across. He has excellent client rapport, and knowledge of law and procedures.
You may wonder how do I know they're an excellent team? Well, I would say my two qualifications are:
1. I used to be a Legal Secretary so I worked with a lot of attorneys and Paralegals
2. I had retained a previous Workers Comp law firm, and that attorney and the doctors he advised me to go to were nothing more than "a mill", working in tandem, working the system together without a care for the actual Injured Worker. They even tried to convince me to settle my case after only receving some rudimentary treatment for my injuries.
So, to end my review, I want to express my deepest gratitude to these two gentlemen for handling my case with great diligence and expertise. It's been a long journey for me, and I know I wasn't always the most pleasant client, but you were always professional and determined to get me the treatment I was entitled to, and ultimately, a VERY favorable settlement and judgment on my behalf. Toni was a great help in settling my workers compensation claims. I started to have serious problems with the Claims Examiner after a year. I was not receiving any checks for my time off and medical treatment was not being approved. With several attorneys in the area, I could not decide on an attorney. A friend recommended Toni Raykovich and said if you want an attorney that will work hard for you, then you want Toni to represent you. I made an appointment and met Toni in her office.
