Having been injured at work and being let go after working there for 20 years because I filed for Workers Comp (WC) were the darkest points of my working career. In my experience, filing for WC was a big discouragement given that I've learned big corp. usually would fire injured workers to avoid paying for the medical/financial benefits that are due to them.
