I want to take the time to write this review and express my gratitude with Humphrey and Associates and Anibal Pelaez, they got me the treatment I needed and compensated for my injury for my lower back , Anibal Pelaez was very kind and comprehensive with any information I needed regarding my case, he also went the extra mile for me , he even went directly to the court to get C&R signed to be approved, always kept his word when he said he would call back or submit any documents and kept you in the loop instead of having you ponder what was going on with your case. I want people the know what a amazing firm this is. Anibal Palez represented me and got me a settlement that was above and beyond expectations. Humphrey & Associates got me the medical care I needed immediately and got me even more money than they originally estimated for everything. I would definitely recommend them. There's some room for improvement that I'll outline below, but I didn't want to give fewer stars for that because it was overall a positive experience and a very positive financial outcome. Background: I hurt myself on the job, quit the job, and then workers comp case was cancelled and I didn't have insurance anymore. I didn't know what to do so I contacted H&A. Within a day they had setup doctors appointments and physical therapy for me. My biggest concern throughout the process was communication. There were periods of time where I did not hear back from them, didn't know what was happening, didn't know what the next steps were, and wasn't sure if all of these doctors visits were even helping me. On top of that I was in pain and it was just stressful. Rest assured, they WERE hard at work building my case and negotiating with the insurance company etc... Additionally, I'm not a Spanish speaker, and the firm seems to cater to such. I don't mind it, but the also the doctors they sent me to would also leave me messages in Spanish that I didn't understand which was frustrating. But other communication qualms; They said I could always contact them about the case, but I think my "main point of contact" changed at least 3 times from the start to finish of the entire process and sometimes I felt like information fell through the gaps. But the bottom line is, when I did call them they always transferred me to someone who had all of the information on my case and could give me the advice I needed and answer any questions. But unless I checked in I wasn't sure of what was happening or any idea of the trajectory of the case. But every time I did check in everyone was so kind, informed and helpful. I'm not a litigious person, I've never done anything like this before, but I really feel like after suffering with my injury for so long, they were able to really help me put this chapter of my life behind me as I got surgery and money to make up for the terrible experience and more. My advice would be to just do what they say and trust them. When all was said and done it was clear I was in good hands after all. I hope I don't ever need to, but I would definitely use them again. Carlo is an amazing lawyer! Dealing with WC insurance is a headache, but Carlo has been very helpful and has made my dad feel comfortable with the process. He is available whenever my dad has a question. The best part is that they speak Spanish, so my dad understands every step of the way. We have had a great experience!
