It's an honor to be able to write a review on Alice . The best , most effective attorney ever ! And that's with no exaggeration . I know first hand how much attention she gives her clients , how knowledgeable she is on the case , how well she listens and pays attention on what you have to say , how great her communication is even when you're inside of a cell . I know how fiercely she fights for her clients because she fought hard for me ! I was sentenced to Life Without Parole . I was literally a dead man walking ! I was told I was never coming home . After listening to lawyers not want to take my case and paying thousands of dollars to attorneys who did nothing for me I felt defeated . Then came Alice ! After 13 years she filled me with hope . We had multiple meetings and conversations , her strategizing how she was going to present my case . Always making sure I was calm and collected , and that I understood everything that was going on . Always kept in touch with my loved ones telling them every step of the process , and making sure they were stress free . She made me feel very confident walking into the court room... as I knew that she always had my best interest in mind . There was a moment during my court process where the judge ruled against us , I felt defeated at the moment . But that feeling of defeat vanished very quickly once I saw that Alice did not feel defeated , it was as if the ruling fueled something in her and made her more fierce and fight even harder than she already was . She took the judges ruling and filed it with a higher court , she refused to take no as an answer even after the judge and district attorneys were trying to railroad me . Thanks to her the higher courts ruled in my favor and after having LWOP and being incarcerated for 13 years I am now a free man . NO PROBATION , NO PAROLE ! I cannot begin to express the gratitude my family and I have for Alice . Let me start off by saying that Alice is literally heaven sent . From speaking to a handful of attorneys whom didn't want to take my husbands case because it was "impossible for him to ever come home" , to hiring attorneys who took thousands of dollars from us , to attorneys taking my husbands case and then last minute saying that they couldn't represent him because it was such a difficult case... we felt like there was no hope . My husband had an extremely lengthy sentence . On top of having to serve several life sentences , he also had life without the possibility of parole (LWOP) . Alice took on his case and she was extremely confident and knowledgeable about how she was handling the case . From the laws that were being applied to his case , to the tactics she was taking . Her communication with my husband and myself was amazing . She always kept in contact no matter how busy she was , she would be very thorough about answering our questions , and explaining what was happening every step of the way . She made the most stressful time of our life go so smooth and filled us with confidence . She treats her clients like her own family . She fights for your loved one fiercely and does not give up ! At one point my husbands case was denied by the judge and who was ruling over it . She took it into her hands to take it to a higher court to appeal the judges ruling ! She did everything in her power to get my husbands case granted . After being incarcerated for almost 13 years , she brought my husband home ! Something no one ever thought possible !
