Thabet N. Khalidi of Khalidi Law Firm, PLLC is my neighbor and was recommended to me by a lawyer friend in September of 2021. I found Mr. Khalidi to be duplicitous, perfidious, unorganized and lacking knowledge of the financial aspects required in dividing community property. My goal was to settle as quickly as possible, Mr. Khalidi and Mr. Lewis III made this process very difficult for the petitioner and the respondent. Mr. Khalidi and the opposing council Mr. Robert Lewis III erroneously tried to utilize 2005 superseded case law Biddulph v. Biddulph (1985) to massively overvalue community property in favor of the petitioner. I requested a financial audit early on in the process, approximately October of 2021, Both parties finally agreed to a CPA audit that started in January of 2023. The CPA audit revealed that not only were my financial calculations correct my valuation of properties, in accordance with ARS 25-318 section B, were also correct and both lawyers valuations incorrect. In the end both lawyers capitulated to my financial valuations of property and financial audit. I provided Mr. Khalidi with Arizona Revised Statute evidence related to property valuations and expert witnesses who utilized the same ARS evidence, which he dismissed. I also tried to hire a different attorney, but Mr. Khalidis peers refused to take over my case or were busy and the Judge refused to extend the proceedings and allow me to hire a competent lawyer. I have subsequently spoken to neighbors who have hired Mr. Khalidi, and were not pleased with Mr. Khalidis performance and one identified Mr. Khalidi's lack understanding of financial issues relative to their case. I filed an appeal File #23-2483 with the AZ Bar, and a fee arbitration (FA-24-0027) against Mr. Khalidi (you can read the complaint which has evidence). I gave Mr. Khalidi one star because I couldn't give him a lower evaluation.
