Unfortunately, I never spoke to the lawyer as the interaction with the secretary left me quite uncomfortable due to how I was spoken to. Prior to having a phone consultation payment is required. The security called and I gave her my card information over the phone. About an hour later she called me back and right at the start of the call, she said, "I don't have time to track you down for another payment, so I need you to give me a real card number this time." Apparently the payment did not go through because of an error with the cards expiration date. I found her comment both rude and inappropriate. The card I provided was real, and I did not appreciate the implication that I was attempting to avoid payment. It appears there was simply an honest mistake--either on her end or mine--with one incorrect digit. A more professional and respectful approach would have been to calmly inform me that there was an issue processing the card and ask to confirm the number and expiration date. At that point, the mistake could have easily been identified and resolved. To make matters worse when I called back later to cancel the consultation and get a refund, as I didn't want to work with a company that treats their customers with such little respect, the secretary yelled at me. When I called I simply stated I wanted to cancel and receive a refund because the way she spoke to me was rude and inappropriate. At this point she preceded to yell at me, saying I was done, I have no right to say that to her and was rude for calling and basically banned from that law office. This is the worst customer service I have experienced in a long time and would be ashamed to have her representing my office.
