After unexpectedly being served divorce papers, I consulted with 15 or 20 family law firms before finding The Sampair Group. My gut told me it was my best option, and I hired Michele Surett. Now that my case is closed (after a year and a half, thanks to my ex being nothing short of difficult), it was in fact my BEST option and Michele did not disappoint. Laura Gillis was amazing! She took my divorce/custody case over after almost 2 years of trying to resolve with another attorney and settled it in 2 months and got me everything I wanted. I got primary custody of my child and the best possible outcome we could get at the time and it was due to her hard work and diligence. She truly cared and was so involved with me in getting my feedback and thoughts on every decision. She has been through this before which I think helped me feel like she understood where I was at and the true facts of the case. She was stern with the other attorney and didn't back down which made me feel so confident in her abilities to fight for what was best for my child. She had limited information taking over the case but immediately jumped in and took care of things. I wish I found this firm sooner... the most honest, and genuine caring attorneys I've ever dealt with. I would recommend them to anyone that needs true caring representation, that will actually and truly fight for your child's best interest and yours. I've used/dealt with 7 different attorneys and this firm is the only one I will ever call again. I'm a single mom, who has been railroaded in court by an abusive, dishonest, cruel, human, who is my ex-husband and my child's father. Who literally was untruthful about 90% of every single thing he testified to, and being the best actor and cool as a cucumber...the judge believed every single thing without any proof.
