This is the exact same problem my family is having with this attorney! No or low communication. Gave him money 3 years ago, he asked for more and still haven't done anything! I'm about to file a complaint against him with Alabama Bar! He needs to refund the money so they can get a competent lawyer!

My grandfather passed away due to an accident... my grandmother used Carter to assist with getting the payment from the insurance company to be awarded to her ... a million phone calls and lies .. and delays... 5 years later .. my grandmother lost the case .. Carter played in our face this entire time .. if you need anything to go through probate court I would highly recommend using someone else . Even the judges were tired of him constantly not doing his job ... not only has she lost the love of her life ... she had an horrible experience with Carter . We trusted you and it got us no where .. but hey you got paid so I guess that's all that's matters ...

Mr.Jerome Carter is HORRIBLE!!! He was hired to handle a Probate case for my mother and boy was the ball dropped! He was inconsistent and lacked communication and comprehension from every angle. Over a 5 month period my mother constantly called his office inquiring about her case , there was either no answer, no call back or etc. She was never ever able to even see or speak to him the times she did go by his office. He waited 5 months later to even file a motion stating he was her retainer, and that's only because she was constantly calling their office to get updates. He did give her some of her money back and we went on to find another attorney but everything about this guy is bad...hell he cant even lie putting all the blame on his office staff...just take accountability buddy! Might just be time for him to retire because there's no way people are satisfied with his representation! If I could give a 0 out of 5 I would. God Bless!!!

I hired Jerome Carter to handle a criminal case. I Paid him 4,000 to do absolutely nothing! Terrible staff and service. Absolutely bad communication and understanding. He spoke to me rude and unprofessional. His secretary told me he said that if it wasn't important that he will speak to me in court. I had to constantly show up to his office to get him to speak with me. He knew pretty much nothing about my case! Once I stood up for myself and let him know how I felt he filed a motion to withdraw the day before court! All he has done is show up in court and sat like a quiet mouse. I can only assume he thought he was being paid $4,000 to model his appearance in court.
