Marlene is a great attorney. I was referred to her by a close friend she helped. I used her services on several cases involving divorce, contracts, and real estate. She did a thorough job researching the cases I was involved in and communicating with me throughout each step of the process. From my first appointment with her, she's has been professional, knowledgeable, and prompt with response. I have recommended her to friends, relatives, and coworkers because of the amazing work she has done.

Mrs. Marlene is the best attorney I have ever used. I would highly recommend her. I used her on my divorce / custody case. You could tell she loves her job and does it very well. She did a great job researching the case and communicating with me. I knew from my first appointment with her that she went above and beyond. If your looking for an attorney to actually help you instead of an attorney just wanting your money, Mrs. Lay is it !!!

I left my first Google review ever for Marlene about 3 years ago or more and for some reason it does not show here. I gave her 5 stars then and give her 5 stars now. She is a great attorney who has helped me through many matters personally. She is also someone that I refer clients to because I know she will get the job done right and give each case and client the attention they need. She is honest, dependable and a hard working attorney. You could not ask for better representation.

If I could rate less than one star I would. She seldom returned emails and never responded to important questions when asked. I lost my case because she didnt know Alabama law. She should have filled a rule 60B but failed to do so because she didn't know about it. I do not recommend this attorney.

I wound up not needing an attorney however Ms. Lay was amazing with talking to me on the phone and communicating by email. She didn't ask for payment for her time and I truly appreciate her helping me!
