Amy charged me $10,000 and made limited to no headway regarding my case; she took my money and provided the worst representation. She also never sent me a break down of the spending on my case! As a 21-year Army Veteran, I do NOT recommend her unethical, money absorbing, poor performance representation. I inquired about my case and requested updates several times during the time that she was "representing" me. It wasn't until I professionally admonished her lackadaisical attitude and approach in an email when she decided to send me an email stating she was withdrawing from my case. During the entire time she "represented" me, she "struggled" to get anything in front of the judge however, her withdraw took a matter of 1-3 days when she decided to quit on me. Not only did she fail me, but she failed and disappointed my daughters too. Not only was she there to support me but she was also hope for my daughters. If you want a lazy lawyer, someone who will NOT perform, someone who is a leech on your wallet, someone who CANNOT take a professional scolding for poor performance, someone who will quit and also someone who won't refund you, hire Amy. Look at her reviews, she has "stolen" other client's money, then quits on them. Who wants to pay someone a large sum of money just to have them quit?! Seek Counsel elsewhere.

Best attorney in the state of Alabama. Love her to pieces!! I've known her since I was 14 years old when I was placed in the juvenile system. She is someone that I highly respect and will always go to for any legal issues.

Had to revisit this page. Today 02/22/23 is my daughter's 11th bday. And I still won't be able to see her thanks to Ms shumates lack of trying. 3,500 dollars it cost me for her not to do her job. Two 15 minute meetings and 1 court appearance which did not address the underlying issue then she withdrew from my case. Pitiful and sad are the attourneys here. She stole my money and refuses to talk to me. So today I go to Montgomery to file a formal complaint with the Bar Association and DOJ. Time to bring the feds up to speed on how corrupt Dothan is . Attourneys are supposed to fight for their clients not steal from them. I would suggest that no one hire this firm and get one from out of town. The final price is your family and they use children as instruments of negotiation.3500 dollars it cost me to get two 15 minute phone calls a week and then she withdrew. I also sueing her for breach of contract
