Thomas, is a brilliant lawyer. I'm so grateful for his passion, dedication, an professionalism. Me an my family are eternally grateful for his service an I would recommend Mr. Thomas Kroger without reservation. Even with my finances limited his Representation towards my case was priority. Let him be your beacon of hope!! He is a true Perry Mason. He keeps full communication with you , being able to reach him was never an issue! He truly went above the called of duty, he is committed to his work and a genuine caring person. He very well respected , from Judges, lawyers, the police from my experience everyone in the court system. If he is your lawyer you will get the best possible outcome for your case.

I don't use layers. But the need came up and I went forward with a stereotypical concern. But.... Wow! How impressed we became with this man! Mr. Kroger took his time. Communicated what to expect and options. Schooled us on how he had been successful previously, and ultimately, he represented a concerned human being with exceptional experience and talent in things, law related. We would have failed without his help, and he went well beyond our expectations to help. Seriously, this man was very impressive professionally, and in terms of simple interactions, and communications.

Update: I was disappointed with follow-through. I ultimately felt that he gave a lot of reassurance and promises in the free consultation, but if he carried out any of the actions he promised, he didn't tell me and I saw no evidence of it. My ultimate impression was that I had one lawyer in the consultation and a very different lawyer once I'd paid him, likely due to it being a flat-rate situation. A straight shooter: honest, direct, and reasonable. I highly recommend him. I was undecided about even having a lawyer due to the expense and my own skepticism re: lawyers, but was so impressed during his very thorough (despite being free) initial consultation that I decided to hire him. He didn't do a hard sell or try to scare me into having a lawyer, either. Trustworthy lawyers are rare and he's one of them. It's great to do more than one consultation but I strongly recommend that he be one of them. I think that like me, you'll see the difference.

At first Mr. Thomas Kroger was very professional and responsive, but after payment for services was sent he became very unresponsive. After 6-months of constant nagging him via phone, email, text message with hardly any response, decided it was necessary to file a complaint with the West Virginia State Bar which they said there are already 8 other complaints on file against his firm. Also filed a complaint with the Lawyers Fund for Client Protection because he said he would refund the money, but never did. They said it could take over a year for the money to be returned via this program, if at all since there are so many cases. Overall, he is too busy and has too many clients to help them all so you will get put on the back burner if its not a large or important case. Hope this review helps someone avoid a long drawn out situation. EDIT: After several more months went by, the lawyers fund for client protection and WV bar made several attempts to contact him with no response. Out of no where a refund was finally received. This whole situation could have been avoided by simply communicating. Glad that its finally over.

When helping a friend find a lawyer we had talked to multiple lawyers and we decided to go with Kroger Law Offices not because they were the cheapest but because we felt they were the best local defense Lawyer to represent us. It was clear that Kroger Law Offices are very professional and have ongoing working relationships with many judges and prosecutors.
