Client
I recently received a cease and desist letter from Mr. Vanderpol at Goldstein Law Office PLLC, claiming that my actions made his clients feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Unfortunately, this letter was sent without a full understanding of the situation. I manage multiple disabilities, including intractable tremors and myoclonic jerks, which cause uncontrollable physical movements. These were not considered or discussed before the letter was issued, leading to what felt like a discriminatory assumption about my behavior. This experience was disheartening, as a brief conversation or inquiry could have clarified the situation and avoided unnecessary escalation. I urge Mr. Vanderpol and the firm to take the time to fully understand the context of a case, especially when disabilities may be involved, to prevent similar misunderstandings. I am open to revising or removing this review if Mr. Vanderpol or the firm addresses my concerns and demonstrates a commitment to more thorough and inclusive communication in the future.
