I consulted with an independent attorney about my case. He asked who the Guardian Et Litem was. I replied: Lynn Tuttle. His response: "She is horrible. She picks a winner and loser. She isn't objective and just needs to retire." I sent my parent coach a copy of what Lynn included in her report relating to their conversation. My parent coach called and said "I am so sorry. My words have been taken out of context and manipulated. She completely misrepresented the situation. I am so angry." My words of caution about hiring Lynne: 1. Timing. She misses deadlines. She will say she has time for the case will take several months (almost 12 in my case) to complete it. 2. Errors. Her report contains material errors. Her response: I don't correct my report. 3. Billing. She will stop work and then tell you she needs more money to complete the work or issue the report. Fine - but why not ask before you stop work? 4. She has flawed logic. Her belief: If a X occurs and situation Y exists - then the only conclusion could be Z. She picks facts to support her conclusions. My sense is she believes everyone should parent in a manner that she parented her children. She is incredibly forgetful - not remembering conversations and facts and it shows in her report. My favorite part of her report is the recommendation relating to mother's day -- "Mother gets mother's day" - this was a male gay relationship. Her work is incredibly sloppy. I would have filed a complaint against her except I wanted my case resolved without incurring more fees. If you have the funds to fight - great. I would avoid this biased attorney.... Social workers are skilled in determining the best interest of the children. Lynn is a mother and attorney who prosecutes one of the parents based on her own views about parenthood.
