Please Do Not go to Ms Obi. I had a hard time with her responding to update me in my case and when she returned calls it was 2wks or later and a huge fee. She left me unrepresenented, didnt show at my court date and told me i couldnt have my as litem in circuit court which was a lie. I fired her after this as I was waiting almost 2 yrs and still no divorce, custody or child support. I paid her over 7,000.00 and nothing done on my behalf. I hired Obi Jan 2022 and today was it, I couldnt take it any longer. 3 court cases canceled to date. I asked for a divorce and she pushed me to do custody while separating the events in court to allow herself to increase her profit. Im a single parent with no child support and she didnt care a bit, I was a number to her not a client with real life issues. Get someone who truly cares and fights hard for you

Seeing all the five stars, I assume that she is willingly working on behalf of some of her clients. I'm sad that I wasn't a client she respected enough to work for after she took the money. After waiting for over a year, and a trip to her ofice, I finally decided to stop reaching out to her. She doesn't update me about the case. She will not return my calls nor respond to my emails. Then when I insist and she finally calls, she'd tell me that it's her secretary fault. She will actually be pleasant and assure me that she's working on my case and then she'll add, wait till I call you next month. Thee months will go by and no call from her and the cycle begins with me trying to reach out by email and calls again. I am glad for the people who experienced her good work. I wish I did, but i might be the exception to the rule.

I refer all my VA Beach clients to Attorney Obi for their family law needs. All of our clients have been happy with her service. There are so many attorneys and it is hard for even other attorneys to know who to trust. That is why I will keep referring clients to Ms. Obi.
