This review documents my profoundly disappointing experience with attorney Justin Ervin in handling a reckless driving case. After receiving multiple emails demanding the initial client payment, it took the firm nearly a month to correctly locate and confirm my case details. Crucially, I was never contacted to provide basic information, such as the correct spelling of my name or the case number, demonstrating a fundamental lack of proactive communication and client engagement.Preparation for the case was inadequate and last-minute. The discovery request was filed only two weeks before our initial court appearance on August 26th. This failure to prepare resulted in both the defense and the prosecution needing to file for a continuance. Furthermore, the mandatory court discovery arrived a month after the first hearing and two weeks before the next hearing on October 20th. Prior to receiving discovery, Mr. Ervin recommended an excessive workload of preparation for a first-time offense with a clean record, including over 50 hours of community service and two separate driving courses, including a specific reckless driving course.Despite the additional time granted by the continuance, Mr. Ervin failed to advocate aggressively on my behalf. Instead of utilizing the opportunity to prepare a defense, he accepted the very first plea offer presented by the prosecutor, which resulted in a conviction including a weekend of jail time, a significant fine, and a year of probation. Most concerningly, Mr. Ervin failed to leverage the critical fact that my key witness could have testified that the other driver's spouse was operating the vehicle and subsequently left the scene of the accident. This key piece of contextual information, which I relayed, was not factored into the defense strategy or used as a point of negotiation. I hired Mr. Ervin hoping for a robust defense proportional to the seriousness of a reckless driving charge, especially as a first-time offender. Instead, I received minimal effort, last-minute filings, and a failure to fight the case, culminating in an unnecessarily harsh outcome. I cannot recommend Justin Ervin to anyone seeking diligent or committed legal representation.

I found Mr. Ervin through google search. Though my case was a simple traffic infraction but Mr. Ervin gave me a precise to do list which I followed. In advance he made clear what to expect and that, he delivered verbatim! I am glad that I found Mr. Ervin's law firm and was able to have him on my side with my traffic infraction case. He is punctual, courteous and excellent at following through, given that I have a high demanding job, I was not good at keeping up I responding to his phone messages, texts and emails. Mr. Ervin did an outstanding job. I recently got a Reckless ticket which he reduced to a improper driving, This was my first defense and on my ticket there was no speed so I was so nervous but Mr.Ervin made sure to keep me calm through out the situation.
