While the communication was confident and persuasive, the actual outcome didn't match the promises made. Be careful with terms like "split"--it sounded like a 50/50 arrangement, but that wasn't how it played out. Ultimately, I felt I needed an advocate to protect me from my advocate. I strongly recommend reviewing everything with a critical eye and considering outside counsel to ensure your interests are truly represented.
