I had Ryan Nelson accept my case regarding a breach of contract. After reviewing the contract, he assured me that, because it didn't include a specific clause specifying the case needed to be tried in the sellers state, he could move forward and try the case in Utah. He scoffed at the contract and was very overconfident that the whole thing would end in my favor. I had $56K on the line! Well, after 6 months of almost no progress, and $7K paid to the firm, the defendant's attorney successfully got the judge to dismiss my case on the grounds that it should not be allowed to be tried in Utah. No apology from Ryan. Nothing. Just, what a "weird" decision by the judge." Thousands down the drain on top of what I am trying to recoup and now if I want my $56k back I have to pay a new attorney in the defendents juristiction. That's the advice the firm should have given me to begin with, but instead they are 7k richer and I have to start from scratch! Be careful, this firm will tell you what you want to hear and do not have the expertise to see these things coming before youre in too deep financially!

Several months ago, I contacted Hepworth Legal for an extreme issue with a power tripping landlord. I paid for a thirty-minute consultation and was assured that I had a decent case to move forward. When I contacted them again, this time for an hour consultation, I had Michael as my acting attorney as the other one wasn't available from the first consultation at the time. Michael spent most of the hour telling me that my case was a dead end and that I was better off letting the problems with this crazy landlord go which was completely different legal advice that I was given from the first consultation I paid despite me having video files and text messages of this landlord violating my rights. He didn't even completely read through the response that was provided by the landlord when I served her my notice of deficient conditions before telling me I had nothing to go to court with. At the end of it, I took his advice and decided to let it go only to have an LPP tell me that I had a good chance to fight this in court. Michael also told me that I was his client from here on out and to contact him with any inquiries I might have with any housing issues in the future. Not even a few weeks later I did contact Michael directly about a separate issue and left voicemails at the main office only to be ignored after sending him several messages. After all of this, I decided to reach out and ask for a refund of my last consultation and surprisingly it was given to me no questions asked since I thought they would give me a hard time about it. I don't think these people really know much about landlord tenant and you would be better off going somewhere else unless you want to be taken for your money and then be left ignored. For landlord tenant, you're much better off going to a Licensed Paralegal Practitioner as Utah allows them to provide legal advice for landlord tenant problems at a much more affordable rate than an attorney like Michael Hepworth

I love how Michael thinks! He comes up with creative solutions, seeing ways around problems and finding solutions. In writing real estate contracts he is able to think of all the "outs" we need for due diligence. He's responsive and makes time for you. His understanding of real estate is vast and he's truly an expert at his craft. Thanks Michael!

Paid the consultation fee just for Mr. Hepworth to tell me to close down my business and take my losses. If you need actual legal help, don't pay them a dime for a consultation. I don't think they care about you or your case unless they think it's profitable. Found a very good and reputable law firm to represent me and things are going great now! They did exactly what I called Hepworth to help me do and didn't even charge me a consultation fee. If you do a consultation with them, all you're doing is paying for their billboards. Find real lawyers to help you! Edit: The law firm posted my review was fake. This is not a fake review. I have phone records and text messages of the consultation.
