Let's face it: when you are more successful, you become more vulnerable; you are an expert in one thing, you are absolutely a loser on other things! The Big 3 torpedoes for a marriage - sex, money, and child(ren) - Jay could not help you with Sex, while the other two (2) would be in good hands if you are lucky enough and blessed that Jay agrees to be your council. Yes, Jay (and Carol) doesn't take any cases. In fact, he evaluates it first and tells you up front if he could be suited for you or not, then everybody moves on, without wasting time, money, or energy dangling dwindling. That's pure integrity, honesty, efficiency, and respect to give you a kick-start and save some of the precious time you have wasted. I heard about Jay from my best friend, and I passed Jay along to my best friends. We all believed that our marriages would be successful and last, and there is no such thing as a divorce manual to study and follow when things turn unpleasant and tough, and you don't have anybody to discuss or talk with things like this, not even with your parents and/or children. All parties are frustrated and often turn to their most ugly and dark sides, and that's when you need some dream team like Jay and Carol, who are religious people, knowledgeable professionals and experts in this field, and with golden hearts. They taught me how a marriage would last with themselves as a vivid example, and when it fails, on how to stay focused, lessen the pain, and give everybody a chance to start a new chapter in the most effective and efficient way. The journey goes on! I borrowed money and budgeted $40-100k for the drama as I heard and was advised by my "friends", while Jay and Carol made it go under $10k! With today's economy and inflation, culture disconnection and inefficiency, how could they do that?! It's like Jay and Carol let me see hopes of Texas and America - there are still mainstream good people who care and love and respect others, and would treat others fair and square, with a common ground and compromise, and if there is none, they will lead you, assist you, and council you, to find one. Where to start? Jay and I have been "roughing the seas" for two years with a difficult divorce. My experience with Jay has been nothing but great. The man knows the law and leaves nothing to chance. He's very patient but assertive in his doings. Never has he left me wondering about the status on the divorce, his communication is excellent. If he gives you the opportunity to retain him as your attorney, do it. Today solidified my divorce and my results were nothing but ideal. His assistant Carol is awesome as Jay is. Since I am not one to normally write reviews, good or bad, this is incredibly overdue. Sorry Jay, for not having done this sooner! Up front I would like to say, Jay and Carol handled my case in such a respectful, responsive, professional, sincere and sensitive manor. Even my first phone call with Jay, reflected his true concern for both my son and myself. It definitely felt more like a relationship rather than someone hired for a service. The sense of a great team effort made the awful subject turn toward a more positive vibe. Jay was wholeheartedly committed to doing his very best toward my cause. His integrity and passion for the law and fighting for what is right gave me such hope and comfort when it was most needed. Jay is blessed with discernment, intelligence, and a tremendous drive. These attributes were proven true in the fact that he remained fully informed of all newly enforced and/or revised legal guidelines, regulations and procedures for the county he serves in and for the state. You will find his knowledge of, and experience with his peers (other attorneys), and associated judges is pleasantly surprising and proved most helpful.
